Professional services are provided in my office, in external locations, and by email, and telephone. A summary of services I provide is given below. Marital and Family Therapy Practice
- Independent private practice providing psychotherapy services to adults, adolescents and children.
- Individual, marital, family, and group therapy services.
- Group therapy for adult and adolescent victims of child sexual abuse.
- Group therapy for adolescent sex offenders.
- Ongoing supervision and training of volunteer group assistants.
- Co-ordination of services to clients with volunteer helpers who assist in such capacities as tutoring, transportation, and recreational activities.
- Group therapy for women related to issues of recovering from childhood abuse, current relational/parenting problems, and improving self-esteem.
- Family therapy for juvenile offenders.
- Development of holistic treatment strategies that utilizes community resources and abilities of volunteer and paid staff for client care.
- Therapy for terminally ill patients and for family members of these patients.
External ServicesServices of the type listed below can be provided at most locations in East Tennessee. However, concentration is on the greater Knoxville, Tennessee region. Principal counties are Knox, Loudon, Anderson, Jefferson, Blount, and Hamblen.
- Expert witness in child abuse and neglect , and domestic violence cases for court systems.
- Representation of juvenile offenders regarding treatment plans and progress with probation officers and in court presentations.
- Co-ordination of treatment of adolescent sexual offenders and families.
- Representation of clients and families regarding treatment progress and recommendations for victims of child abuse and neglect in court cases.
- Work with community organizations and churches to facilitate volunteer assistance to meet mental health needs of church and community members.
- Coordination of services to adolescents through communication with area school personnel at M-team meetings (mult-disciplinary meetings to assess needs and delivery of services to students designated as eligible for special services - especially children who are severely emotionally disturbed).
